This adorable 4th of July DIY is easy to make and will look so cute in your home this summer! In addition, you will learn how to make rolled paper flowers.

I know it’s still a little early for Patriotic Crafts, but I finished this gorgeous DIY pallet wood board and couldn’t wait to share it with you! My justification is that Memorial Day is only a few weeks away, so if you do it now, you can use it for that and the 4th of July.

The best part of this job is that I bought the pallet panel already made and all I had to do was paint it. Talk about a time saver!

Do you want to make a brand yourself? Let’s do it!

Necessary Materials

  • (Partner links)
  • Wooden Pallet Board (Dimensions 9″ x 15″)
  • White chalk paint + brush
  • Handmade vinyl in black or navy blue
  • Transmission band
  • Red, white, and blue card
  • Hot glue
  • Mason Jar Silhouette Cutting File
  • Leaf binder in Rolled paper (daisies and chrysanthemums)

Step 1 Paint the palette panel with a layer of chalk paint. One coat gives you a subtle whitewashed look. Two layers will give you full coverage.

Step 2 Download the Mason jar cutting file from the Silhouette Design store. Remove the extra pieces, leaving only the dark outline of the jar. Resize the image so that it is about 9 inches high, then adjust the cutting parameters of your vinyl. Cut out the vinyl.

Step 3 Remove all excess vinyl, leaving only the glass pattern on the backing paper.

Step 4 Cover the pattern with transfer tape and remove the paper backing. Center the glass on the palette panel, press the pattern very tightly, then remove the transfer tape.

Step 5 it’s time to make all the paper flowers! Download the patterns from the material list above, adjust your cutting parameters for the cardboard, and then cut out flowers of different sizes and shapes.

Step 6 To make each flower, wrap the outer end of the Spiral around a pencil, then roll the Paper in the center. Be sure to keep the bottom edge flat even when wrapping. The center of the Spiral will be the bottom of your flower. Cover it with hot glue, then press the rolled petals in the center.

Step 7 Add a loop and the word “USA” to your jar. Cut the word out of the same vinyl that was used for the glass and apply it in the same way. I created the word in Silhouette Design Studio. The font is called KG Eyes Wide Open.

I decided to give this sign a patriotic theme, but if you change the color of the flowers and put a different word on the jar, it could work for any holiday or season. It is a fun and versatile profession that is full of kindness.
